This webinar will provide an overview of the legal aspects of forming a nonprofit corporation and obtaining tax-exempt status, specifically focusing on the top legal issues that most founders have questions about.  These issues include corporate entity selection and incorporation, applying for tax-exempt status, executive compensation, fundraising legal issues, and Intellectual Property Considerations and on-going state and federal compliance requirements.

Course Objectives

At the end of the webinar participates will:

  • Have increased knowledge about the nonprofit startup process, tax exempt application process and ongoing corporate formalities. 
  • Have increased knowledge about trademarks and copyrights
  • Have increased understanding of the major Federal and State laws that regulate nonprofit organizations in the United States, with a focus on Pennsylvania.
